About
Anthoniraj Amalanathan is a Professor at Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) in the School of Computer Science and Engineering, and Director of the Centre for Technical Support (CTS). With 20 years of teaching experience, he has instructed courses in Python, Java, C, C++, ReactJS, Software Defined Networking (SDN), Semantic Web, and Data Science.
His research spans AI, Data Science, Deep Learning, Cyber Security, Cloud Computing, Language Modeling, and Web 3.0. He has guided several PhD scholars and possesses deep technical expertise in AI, full‑stack development, and system administration. Prof. Anthoniraj earlier managed teams at the Software Development Cell (SDC) to build VIT’s in‑house portal VTOP.
He regularly trains faculty and students on AI/ML, web/mobile development, research tools, and Data Science. He serves on numerous university committees and contributes to institutional policy and academic governance.
